Services & Solutions

All data and metadata associated with a business area (Customer, Vendor, G/L, Product) is extracted either via IDoc’s or by individual tables.  

Hundreds of master tables, check tables, and text tables can be extracted via a single command and stored off-line in XML or text file format.

All data is identified by system ID for cross-instance comparisons.

SAP Data and Metadata Extraction

Metadata from each instance is merged into an RDBMS repository (SQL Server or MS Access).

Extracted data is uploaded to the repository at which point no further access to SAP is required during the data profiling process.

Metadata glossary provided, eliminating need to refer back to R/3 during later profiling steps.

Profiling Database Creation

Cross-instance metadata comparison, highlighting fields used in one instance but not another as well as discrepancies among field descriptions.

Cross-instance analysis of required fields derived from IMG configuration tables.

SAP-Specific Analyses (optional)

Core data profiling activities (null/fill rates, pattern analysis) can be done from within NSX-supplied app, or repository can be used as input to other industry tools, e.g., Business Objects Data Insight, Datiris, etc.
